Ecuador Is Cutting Off Julian Assange’s Outside Communications

It looks like Julian Assange is about to go dark.

The Ecuadorian Embassy in London has announced that they are suspending the Wikileaks founder’s internet access. The statement cites his violation of a 2017 agreement:

The Associated Press reports that the deactivation of Assange’s communication means he is no longer allowed to send messages that could impact Equador’s international relationships.

Assange has lived at the embassy since 2012 in order to avoid extradition to Sweden for rape and sexual assault charges. There’s also an outstanding warrant for Assange’s arrest in Britain after he skipped bail when he entered the embassy.
