Oscar-nominated screenwriter Don Mankiewicz passed away on Saturday of congestive heart failure. Mankiewicz was responsible for TV shows like Ironside and Marcus Welby, M.D., as well as writing the “Court Martial” episode of Star Trek: The Original Series.
The official Star Trek Twitter account tweeted out this remembrance of Mankiewicz yesterday, but media junkies might notice something a bit, well, off about it:

His nephew, Dateline NBC‘s Josh Mankiewicz, noticed the mix-up tonight and was just incredibly amused:
