Elizabeth Banks Launched a Platform For Established and Up-and-Coming Female Comedians

Screen Shot 2016-04-04 at 6.03.39 PMWith appearances in 3o Rock and Wet Hot American SummerElizabeth Banks has proven that she is a certified funny lady. Her popular YouTube show “Really Important Questions” proves that, too, and now it has a new home: WhoHaha, Banks’ platform for rising female comedians.

She recently transferred all of her own videos over to the site, which aims to give a broader reach to other funny women. Here’s what the site’s “about” page says:

Here at WhoHaha our motto is: if men can do it, they probably learned it from a woman. WhoHaha will elevate and spotlight funny women from around the globe who are creating unique and entertaining content, from Amy Schumer and Mindy Kaling to your 15 your old neighbor who just started her own Youtube channel.

WhoHaha is a space for female creators to distribute their content to a wider audience and a place for users to spend hours laughing until they pee. Elizabeth is scouring the internet for the funniest women the web has to offer and delivering them to you on all platforms.

Banks crowdsourced the money for the project, which is expanded on in this video:

“Bow out, bitches!” is certainly one way to put it.

There are also personality quizzes and multi-platform shareables alongside profiles of established female comedians and pages for newbies.
