Ex-CIA Chief John Brennan Rips Trump For Boasting of Poll Results: ‘Your Self Adoration is Disgraceful’
Former CIA Director John Brennan issued yet another of his characteristically righteous Twitter slams on President Donald Trump Wednesday night, this time taking him to task for boasting of his 51% approval rating.
Trump himself took to Twitter on Wednesday to tout a Breitbart article on his Rasmussen approval ratings, which has his job performance approval at 51 percent and his disapproval at 48 percent.
“I served 6 Presidents, 3 Rs & 3Ds,” Brennan wrote in response to Trump’s tweet. “I directly supported Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama.”
“While I didn’t agree with all their policy choices, I admired and respected all of them, as they put country above their personal interests,” he continued. “Not so with you, as your self adoration is disgraceful.”

Ouch. This isn’t the first time Brennan has used Twitter to roast the president, or spoken out against the administration’s moves. Last week, he decried the selection of White House physician Ronny Jackson for secretary of Veterans Affairs as “deeply misguided.”
For data context, Trump is experiencing an upward tick in his polling results, but remember: Rasmussen polls are particularly generous to the president, and have his approval well above the average.
