Ex-NY Gov. Pataki Endorses Kid Rock For Senate: ‘Exactly the Kind of Candidate the GOP Needs’

Has Kid Rock‘s Senate bid just been endorsed by a former governor…seriously?

George Pataki — a Republican who served three terms as New York’s governor from 1995 to 2006, and ran for president in 2016 — Tweeted his support for Kid Rock on Tuesday morning.

“Kid Rock is exactly the kind of candidate the GOP needs right now #KidRockForSenate,” Pataki wrote. He also Tweeted a link to an article of a GOP super PAC encouraging Kid Rock to run.

We have our suspicions about whether Kid Rock will actually run for Senate. To us, it appears to be a viral marketing stunt. But it seems as though the former New York governor has no such concerns. What a time.
