Exclusive: Stephanie Ruhle to Take Over 9 a.m. Hour on MSNBC

Screen Shot 2016-06-15 at 11.47.18 AMAfter reporting that Steve Kornacki is set to debut a new show as early as next week at 4 p.m. ET, sources indicate that Stephanie Ruhle will anchor the 9 a.m. weekday hour at the Peacock.

It seems as if Ruhle — who has co-anchored the Weekend TODAY show on NBC — will begin in her new role as soon as the end of June. Considering her Twitter bio reads, “MSNBC employee-in-training,” and it seems as if her training period is about to come to an end.

Ruhle previously worked as a network stalwart for Bloomberg, serving as an anchor for Bloomberg Television and editor-at-large for their news effort. She worked in investment banking for fourteen years before her tenure with Bloomberg, and moved onto anchoring duties for Weekend TODAY in May.

We reached out to MSNBC for comment.
