Florida mayoral candidate Anna L. Pierre has bagged an endorsement many only dream of: The endorsement from Jesus Christ. Indeed, Pierre’s campaign posters have touted her spiritual supporter — right alongside her promises about health care and job creation.
“It’s a spiritual endorsement,” Pierre, a “90s Creole-language pop star” and registered nurse, explained to Local 10. “Why? Because everything I do I always get God involved.”

It wasn’t out of the blue, however. Pierre told the Miami Herald the Lord and Savior came to her in a dream:
“I had a revelation when I was going to give up on this race. I had a dream, I know what I saw,” she said. “A figure I can’t explain told me, ‘Don’t be afraid, I am your friend. I am walking with you side by side. You are not alone.’ I felt it was from heaven. It was an endorsement by Jesus.”
As for her opponents? State Rep. Daphne Campbell, for one, said she respected Pierre’s beliefs and opinions. “She wants Jesus to endorse her, that’s okay,” she said.
Pierre made headlines earlier when she claimed she was the target of voodoo spells — which was just one incident in what Local 10 deemed a shenanigan-filled election cycle in North Miami.
