Former Clinton administration stalwart Robert Reich has enjoyed a spike in popularity in the past few years as a vocal critique of big business and the dangers of capitalism. The author starred in the widely-lauded documentary Inequality For All, and has an impressive social media following for someone who served as Secretary of Labor two decades ago.
On Saturday Reich blasted out a brutally honest takedown of former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to his 1.2 million Facebook followers. Reich met Brewer for the first time yesterday at a radio show, which led to, by Reich’s account, a strange conversation on the Trump candidacy:
Aside from listing several of the influential elected officials who have publicly endorsed Donald Trump for President, Reich notes of talking to Brewer specifically, “I hadn’t ever before spoken to Jan Brewer directly, but I found the experience utterly bizarre, as if I were talking to someone whose brain had been replaced by a neolithic rock.”
Reich asked “what these people would be thinking?” by endorsing the controversial Republican frontrunner, with an attached photo of the former Arizona Governor standing proudly with the man himself.
