Fox’s Jedediah Bila Shreds Trump: Shutdown ‘Completely Absurd and a Waste of Time’ if He Doesn’t Dig in

What was it all for?

That’s what Jedediah Bila wants to know. Wednesday on The Five, the Fox News contributor torched President Donald Trump over the reportedly soon-to-be-signed border deal, which allocates funds for only 55 miles of physical barriers.

“The deal looks like it stinks, it really does,” Bila said. “I mean, a lot of people on the right are going to be sitting there and saying; what was the point of a shutdown?”

Bila slammed Trump over his penchant for abandoning promises.

“He has to learn to stop doing this,” she said. “He put out there, ‘Mexico’s going to pay for the wall.’ Didn’t work out that way. He put out there, ‘I’m not going to budge, I’m going to dig my heels in.’ And then when you don’t, people are disappointed in you.”

Bila closed out her rant by hitting the president for being indecisive on the issue of whether or not he should declare a national emergency.

“This whole shutdown was completely absurd and a waste of time if it wasn’t going to force him to kind of say, ‘You know what, my way or the highway, because this is a national emergency.’ Either it’s a national emergency or it’s not. Make up your mind.”
