Frank Luntz: Is Gillibrand Protecting ‘Sexually Harassing’ Senators Because They’re Democrats?
Republican pollster Frank Luntz has a theory on the congressmen who Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) says teased her about her weight after her pregnancy: Maybe they were Democrats.
Gillibrand said in a recent interview that several of her male colleagues made offhand remarks to her about the pounds she gained post-pregnancy. “Don’t lose too much weight now,” Gillibrand recalled one older male senator saying to her as he grabbed her waist. “I like my girls chubby.”
Gillibrand did not name the alleged chubby chaser or any of her other colleagues that she said teased her on her weight, leading some in the news media to wonder why she granted them anonymity.
Luntz proposed one possible reason on Wednesday. “Is Kirsten Gillibrand only hiding the identities of the male senators who sexually harassed her because they are Democrats?” he tweeted.
