Former President George H. W. Bush has been accused of groping a woman while in office during a campaign event in 1992, bringing the number of accusers that say he has committed a similar act to seven.
The alleged victim, who remains anonymous, spoke to CNN and described the incident.
“We got closer together for a family photo and it was like ‘Holy crap!'” she said, noting that Bush used the opportunity to squeeze her buttocks. “It was like a gentle squeeze.”
The woman, who is now 55, told reporters that she rationalized the alleged grope for the past 25 years, thinking to herself that “it was probably an accident.”
Once other accusers started piling up, however, she decided to come forward.

The woman reminded CNN that this incident occurred in 1992, when he was 67 years old and still in fine health.
“All the focus has been on ‘He’s old.’ OK, but he wasn’t old when it happened to me,” she said. “I’ve been debating what to do about it.”
His other accusers, including a 16-year-old, describe incidents that occurred long after he was president, in the years between 2003 and 2016. The victims’ stories are, for the most part, eeringly similar, with Bush grabbing their buttocks without permission.
Bush spokesman Jim McGrath has yet to comment on this latest allegation.
