Sean Hannity, who liked how President-elect Donald Trump took on the press earlier today, spoke with Newt Gingrich about Trump getting combative with a CNN reporter.
CNN’s Jim Acosta attempted to get Trump to answer a question––saying “You are attacking our news organization, can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir?”––and they got into a heated back-and-forth with Trump calling CNN “fake news.”
As far as Hannity’s concerned, journalism is now dead and buried. He brought up how combative Acosta was and asked Gingrich, “Do you ever remember Barack Obama ever being treated like this?”
Gingrich said they would never treat “the press’ hand-picked loved candidate” like that, saying, “Trump is deliberately trying to shrink and isolate CNN, and CNN is working hard to be worthy of that.”
Acosta said after that heated moment, incoming press secretary Sean Spicer warned him not to try something like that again.
