Ex-Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson is speaking out about her Roger Ailes lawsuit and what her ex-colleagues are saying about it in a new interview.
There were even letters that Carlson sent Ailes featuring some pleasantries and requests to consider her for additional roles at the network.
Here’s Carlson’s response to that in a New York Times interview out tonight:
Asked why she was seeking better assignments if she felt she was a victim of harassment, she said: “I think it’s hard when you’ve been a victim — you keep thinking things are going to get better.”
She was asked about a potential problem at Fox overall and said, “Everyone knew how powerful Roger Ailes was. I certainly felt intimidated by that… The culture of Fox and Friends was intimidating to me.”
As for her former colleagues defending Ailes, Carlson simply had this to say:
“They’re still being paid by Fox.”
Meanwhile, Carlson’s old 2 pm timeslot is doing very well and is hitting its highest ratings ever amid all this controversy.
