Gun-Toting Thug Tries to Rob a 90-Year-Old, It Backfires Spectacularly
Sometimes you get lessons in how crime doesn’t pay in the most surprising ways. A man wearing a hoodie entered a laundromat on Monday and held up a gun demanding money from the 90-year-old owner. What he most assuredly didn’t expect was the old man to take out a gun of his own and chase him out.
George Hicks was robbed once before, in 2010, and so this time he was ready. He had his gun handy and spooked the robber into leaving the laundromat.
But the best part was this exchange when Hicks called 9-1-1.
Dispatcher: “Did he take any money?”
Hicks: “No. No. When he shoved me, I jumped up and went for my gun and when I went for my gun I said I’ll blow your BLEEP brains out and he was gone.”
