Hannity Talks Getting in Shape, Compares His Workout Routine to Obama’s
Sean Hannity is getting into shape. For the past 18 months, the Fox News host has been shedding weight by cutting carbs and doing street martial art workouts with a trainer several times a week. And in an interview with The L.A. Times, Hannity explains the big reason he decided to do this: “In the fall of 2012, while playing golf, a friend took a picture of me. It was hideous — I looked four months pregnant. I had man boobs.”
So he embarked on a weight-loss journey and managed to drop 27 pounds. And the workout regimen he’s on sounds pretty intense, because according to Hannity, it’s a mix of “kick boxing, Japanese jujitsu, submission, grappling, Filipino martial arts, blade and firearms training.”
Hannity says this type of training is good for him, so that way he can handle threats from others.
But he couldn’t resist bringing President Obama into this just a bit, so when Hannity ended his show last night by mentioning his workout, he said, “President Obama, he delicately jogs on his elliptical and struggles to lift two-pound weights, while I’ve been engaging in a real exercise.”
Obviously, this means we now have to see Hannity and the president in an exercise-off.
