Hannity Tells O’Reilly He Should Return: ‘Would You Consider Coming Back’ to Fox?
Bill O’Reilly appeared on Sean Hannity‘s radio show this afternoon and spoke with his former Fox News colleague about “smears” from the liberal media.
Both of them agreed the media is out to get conservative voices, with O’Reilly offering Hannity some praise for fighting back when he came under scrutiny. He told Hannity he’s fighting back against the sexual harassment allegations against him, saying that “the media wants you silenced and they wanted me silenced.”
At one point, they talked about how the left resorts to intimidation because they can’t win with “hearts and minds,” and O’Reilly took note of how Fox News “crushed” its cable competitors.
And then Hannity said, “You want to come back? I think you should come back.”
O’Reilly jokingly asked if Hannity wants to drag him “back into the swamp.” Hannity said this in response:
“I think you want back in the swamp and I think you’d love it back in the swamp. Look, I know your fans would like you back on, too, and there’s not a day that goes by that people don’t ask me, ‘How’s O’Reilly doing? When is he coming back?’ Would you consider at some date coming back to Fox?”
“I don’t know,” O’Reilly responded. “I mean, I have to get this legal stuff done, I have to get this investigation done.”
