As the world digests President Donald Trump — leader of the free world — tweeting about MSNBC morning anchor Mika Brzezinski’s bleeding face following a supposed facelift, Melania Trump’s communications director issued a statement defending the president:

Trump’s Thursday morning tweet called the Morning Joe co-host “Crazy Mika,” adding that around New Year’s Eve, she “insisted on joining me” at Mar-a-Lago.
“She was bleeding badly from a face-lift,” he added. “I said no!”
Now, it appears that the First Lady — who took a break from her campaign against cyberbullying to respond to her husband’s tweet — has apparently endorsed the bleeding-face comment, with her communications director Stephanie Grisham writing in a statement: “As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder.”
Trump has had a long and tumultuous relationship with Morning Joe hosts Brzezinski and her fiancé Joe Scarborough — the pair gave then-candidate Trump ample and generous coverage during the early phases of the 2016 election, but the relationship soured when the show became too critical for a thin-skinned president to bear.
