The three additional suspects charged with obstructing the FBI’s investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings have been named. The new development in the case reveals the assistance the alleged bombers received in the days following the attack.
Two UMASS Dartmouth classmates of bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both 19 and citizens of Kazakhstan in the United States on student visas, have been charged with conspiring to obstruct justice and disposing of evidence including a laptop computer and a backpack containing fireworks. A third man, Robel Phillipos, is being charged with lying to federal law enforcement officials.
