‘He’s Gonna Get it’: NASCAR Driver Punches Rival in the Face After Last Lap Wreck

A NASCAR driver attacked a rival following a race this weekend, charging him and punching him in the face before a wild scuffle ensued.

It happened following NASCAR’S Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas Sunday. In the final lap of the race, Joey Logano‘s car got loose and caused Kyle Busch to spin out.

Busch, deeming the wreck intentional, charged at Logano after the race and punched him in the face. A scuffle then ensued, with NASCAR officials trying to break up the fracas. Busch, despite landing the punch, actually got the worst of the exchange and came away with a cut on his forehead above his right eye.

Busch did not appear to regret the fight he started.

“That’s how Joey races,” Busch told Fox after the race. “He’s gonna get it.”

Logano, for his part, denied that his action was intentional.

On the Fox broadcast, analysts Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip both absolved Logano of blame for the wreck. But that didn’t stop Busch from charging into Logano.
