‘He’s Playing a Character’: Alex Jones’ Lawyer Calls His Client a ‘Performance Artist’

Is Alex Jones all talk?

That was the general gist of an assertion from his lawyer, Randall Wilhite. At a pre-trial child custody hearing between Jones and his ex-wife, Kelly Jones, Wilhite said the radio host was essentially a fraud.

“He’s playing a character,” Wilhite said during the hearing, the Austin American-Statesman reported. “He is a performance artist.” According to the Statesman, it would be unfair to judge Jones based on his InfoWars persona in the same way it would be to judge Jack Nicholson’s personality based on his portrayal of the Joker.

… Quite a comparison.

While that seemingly accidental admission will likely be music to the ears of Jones’ critics, ex-wife Kelly, who is arguing for sole or joint custody of their three children, says it is far from the truth.

“He’s not a stable person,” said Kelly Jones, according to the Statesman. “He says he wants to break Alec Baldwin’s neck. He wants J-Lo to get raped.” Jones typically broadcasts from the home where his children have lived since the couple divorced in 2015. Jones’ ex-wife also stated her belief that the radio host was involved in illegal activity.
