Horde of Teens Wreaks Havoc at Movie Theater Just to See Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey has apparently inspired lots of passion in Ocoee, Florida because several hundred teenagers rioted at the West Oaks Mall movie theater because they couldn’t get in to see the movie.

Let me repeat: hundreds of Florida under-17s rioted because they couldn’t see Fifty Shades of Grey.

Yep, it’s one of those “oh, Florida” stories.

According to The West Orange Times, the group of angry teens ranged from 100 to 300, and they rushed the movie theater to try and see the film without paying. The theater called 911 and the police showed up to try and disperse the rowdy teens. They were wreaking havoc and even making some death threats.

The cops showed up and arrested several people in the mob––one for battery, one for resisting an officer, and even one for someone who fired shots in the crowd.

A mall director said as a result of this, “after 9 p.m. every day, all minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult while on mall property, and all unaccompanied minors will be escorted off the property.”

Two people made 911 calls during the rioting, and you can listen to them here.
