The LA Dodgers are in the National League Championship Series, and it’s all because of Clayton Kershaw. The Dodgers ace was simply remarkable in Game 5 of the Division Series. After pitching 6.2 innings in Game 4, Kershaw entered Game 5 with two on and one out in the ninth inning with the Dodgers clinging to a one run lead. He got the final two outs and the Dodgers advanced.
But Kershaw probably won’t be available until Game 3 of the NLCS. And that’s good news for the Chicago Cubs, who are just eight wins away from breaking their 108 year World Series drought.
Cubs ace Jon Lester takes the ball in Game 1 at Wrigley Field tonight. He’ll be opposed by Kenta Maeda.
First pitch is at 8:00 p.m. ET. The game will air on Fox Sports 1. Joe Buck and John Smoltz have the call. The action can be streamed free with a cable subscription on pc, cell phone, or tablet via Fox Sports Go — which can be downloaded via the iTunes store, the Google Play store, and the Windows store.
