How to Watch Cubs-Indians World Series Baseball Game 5 Live Stream Online
Well, now it’s time for Cubs fans to panic.
The Cleveland Indians’ 7-2 victory in Game 4 on Saturday put Chicago squarely behind the 8-ball in the World Series. The Cubs now face a 3-1 deficit, and are just one loss away from elimination. One loss away from the 108 year World Series drought extending to at least 109.
The good news, if there is any, for Chicago is that they have a significant advantage in the starting pitching match-up tonight. Their ace, Jon Lester, takes the ball on full rest Sunday night. While Trevor Bauer gets the start on short rest for Cleveland.
Both pitchers have already dropped a game in this series. Lester gave up three runs in 5.2 innings of work in his Game 1 loss. While Bauer went just 3.2, allowing two runs in Cleveland’s Game 2 defeat. Overall, Lester has been the superior pitcher this season. He’ll need to return to form if the Cubs hope to stay alive and send the series back to Cleveland.
First pitch is at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will air on FOX. Joe Buck and John Smoltz have the call. The action can be streamed free with a cable subscription on pc, cell phone, or tablet via Fox Sports Go — which can be downloaded via the iTunes store, the Google Play store, and the Windows store.
