It’s Draft night, also known as the one night a year for perennial also-rans such as the Cleveland Browns, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New York Jets to claim the NFL spotlight.
The Browns pick first (shockingly) and also 12th. At No. 1, they’re expected to take the draft’s can’t-miss player — defensive lineman Myles Garrett out of Texas A&M. With their second pick, it’s possible they trade up to take quarterback Mitch Trubisky out of North Carolina.
But how high will they have to go up to take him? And who else is in the market for a quarterback? In addition to Trubisky, reigning National Champion DeShaun Watson from Clemson is also in the mix to be taken in the first few picks. Will the Jets be in on the quarterback derby?
This also appears to be an unusually strong draft for running backs – a position on which teams generally try to avoid spending a high pick. LSU’s Leonard Fournette, Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey, and Florida State’s Dalvin Cook are all possible to go in the top 15 picks.
Coverage begins at 8:00 pm ET on ESPN and the NFL Network. The Draft will also be streamed online, via WatchESPN and the NFL Network’s website, free with a cable subscription. The Watch ESPN app can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store, and the Google Play Store.
