Hustler's Larry Flynt Responds To S.E. Cupp Controversy

Hustler Magazine’s Larry Flynt has responded to a scandal involving his magazine’s publishing of a photo-shopped picture of conservative columnist S.E. Cupp engaging in a sexual act. In a statement to The Blaze, Flint wrote “That’s satire.”

“That’s satire. I’m able to publish this because of the Supreme Court case I won in 1984 [sic], Flynt v. Falwell,” said Flint, referring to a highly publicized court decision that upheld Hustler’s right to parody public figures so long as it could not be considered libel.

The Blaze notes that the case in question involved an article Hustler published that claimed the late “Rev. Jerry Falwell was a drunk and had engaged in an incestuous sexual encounter with his mother in an outhouse.”
