With outrage growing over a photograph showing her holding up a model of President Donald Trump’s bloodied severed head, comedian and occasional CNN host Kathy Griffin took to Twitter to post a short video apologizing for the picture.
“I sincerely apologize,” Griffin stated. “I’m just now seeing the reaction of these images.”
She continued, “I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I move the line and then I cross it. I went way too far.”
Griffin also noted that the image is disturbing and she can understand how it offended many people. She went on to explain that it wasn’t funny and she’s asked the photographer to take down the image.
