‘I Would Have Won the Popular Vote If I Was Campaigning For the Popular Vote,’ Says Trump
During an already–hyped interview with David Muir that premiered in full tonight, Donald Trump was asked whether he thinks it diminishes his credibility to falsely insist that 3 to 5 million votes were cast illegally even though he ended up winning.
Trump said that no, he doesn’t think it diminishes his credibility to insist that dead people and undocumented immigrants are registered to vote and that some people vote in two — or three! — states.
He also said that he would have won the popular vote if he had tried to.
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes.
