In Case You Were Wondering, Yes, the WH Correspondents Dinner Will Still Be Taking Place This Year

Yes, in case you were on the edge of your seat wondering, the White House Correspondents Dinner will still be taking place this year.
Reuters’ Jeff Mason, the current president of the White House Correspondents Association, posted this statement to Twitter responding to questions as to whether the dinner’s still happening:

Obviously, the big reason people were wondering if the dinner would still happen in the first place was President Trump himself, given the tense relationship he has with the mainstream media.
Of course, Trump might relish the opportunity to address the event just six years after he was the subject of much mockery at the same event. It’s believed that the jokes cracked at Trump’s expense by Barack Obama and Seth Meyers that night played a pretty significant part in Trump’s decision to run for president.
