A float from a Fourth of July parade is drawing controversy due to its depiction of the Obama Presidential Library as an outhouse, with a “zombielike” Obama guarding his, uh, legacy.
The float, which appeared in Norfolk, Nebraska’s annual Independence Day parade, drew condemnations from local political figures and the Nebraska Democratic Party, which called it one of the “worst shows of racism and disrespect for the office of the presidency that Nebraska has ever seen.” It also drew loud defenses saying that the float was simply political satire. The Omaha World-Herald noted that no one claimed responsibility for sponsoring the float.
