Jake Tapper Jabs Democrats for Obama Memorial Day Tweet

The Democrats tried to get in on some Memorial Day Weekend Twitter action with the following, celebrating more the start-of-summer spirit the holiday has taken on (or, depending on your POV, Obama cult of personality) rather than its original military in memoriam purpose:

The tweet generated a lot of pushback, from none more prominent than Jake Tapper on Saturday:

Tapper’s tweet currently has six times the retweets as the original. For Mediaite’s money, this is the one in poor taste:
