Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Don Jr.: If You Think It’s a Good Idea to Compare Your Father and Weinstein, Don’t
Jimmy Kimmel took some shots at Donald Trump Jr. for inciting a Twitter battle in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal.
Kimmel told his audience how he responded to President Trump‘s tweet attacking “unfunny” late-night comedians and Don Jr. replied “Thoughts on Harvey Weinstein? #AskingForAFriend.”
“The insinuation was that we, as part of the biased leftwing media propaganda machine wouldn’t say anything about him because he’s a Democrat,” Kimmel said.
Kimmel responded to the tweet by calling the scandal “disgusting,” to which Don Jr. responded by saying “Great I look forward to your monologues next week. You’re probably due for a change if only for a moment or two.” Then Kimmel shot back with a link to Trump’s Access Hollywood tape.
“Note to DJTJ,” Kimmel continued. “Next time you’re defending your father, you think it’s a good idea to draw comparisons between him and a freshly-accused sexual predator, don’t. It doesn’t help. It really doesn’t.”
Kimmel did go on to tell a Harvey Weinstein joke.
“What’s the difference Harvey Weinstein and the Pillsbury Dough Boy?” Kimmel asked. “When the Pillsbury Dough Boy offers you a roll, he doesn’t ask you to watch him take a shower for it.”
