The Senate isn’t voting on Graham-Cassidy this week, and opponents of the health care bill are celebrating, including Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel, who has explained his newborn son Billy’s open heart surgery opened his eyes on this issue, became one of the most vocal advocates against the bill last week, telling viewers to call their senators and speak out against it.
Kimmel received praise for his advocacy, but also received some criticism after a report came out that he spoke with Chuck Schumer‘s office on the matter.
Last night, with both John McCain and Susan Collins coming out against it, Kimmel celebrated the bill being “almost completely dead.”
But now that it’s not being voted on this week, Kimmel tweeted a thank-you to everyone who spoke out along with a picture of Billy:
