Joe Biden To Republican: ‘You’ll Vote For Me In 2016’

During a campaign stop in Florida on Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden spoke with supporters — drawing attention to himself by making a remark about 2016.

One woman at the event handed her phone to Biden, asking him to speak to her brother, who is a Republican. According to CNN, Biden accepted, telling him, “I’ll tell ya what, you may be a Republican but I love ya.”

Discussing health care law with the woman’s brother, Biden concluded the conversation by saying, “Look, I’m not trying to talk you into voting for me, I just wanted to say hi to you.”

“And after it’s all over, when your insurance rates go down,” he added, “then you’ll vote for me in 2016. I’ll talk to you later.”

CNN noted that it “was unclear whether Biden was kidding or not, but a few supporters standing around him did not seem to laugh. One person, however, could be heard clapping at the 2016 remark.”

Joking or not, we’ve got just a week left before 2016 speculation begins.
