He was hospitalized earlier this morning with an unknown ailment, and news reports have begun to come in within the hour that he is awake, talking, and in good spirits.

Beau Biden, 41, was admitted to a Delaware hospital Tuesday morning. The White House says he is in good spirits and is talking with his family at the hospital. He is fully alert and has full motor and speech skills, the White House said.
ABC News is reporting that Biden is expected to make a full recovery, and that, while uncommon, strokes among those under 50 are possible in certain conditions. The AP video report below:
