Jon Stewart Takes Us Back to Simpler Times When Trump Was Fighting Him on Twitter

Jon Stewart might be retired from The Daily Show, but that’s not stopping him from taking Donald Trump to task as only he can.

Stewart did a set for Tuesday’s Stand Up for Heroes veteran’s benefit, where he talked about his complete shock at twists and turns that made up the 2016 election.

“I’m not in the game anymore. I’m not as much of a political analyst…but if I could ask you a question that I’ve been saying to my television, it’s ‘What the f*ck? What the f*ck is going on? What is happening?!'”

After poking fun at Trump’s wealth, narcissism and his vulgarity, Stewart turned his attention to the mogul’s troubling remarks from 2005 about sexually grabbing women. Stewart opined that the controversy should’ve ended all hope for Trump, and yet, Hillary Clinton‘s new email review gave Trump the chance he needed to revive his campaign.

“I thought when a guy got off a bus and says, ‘I’m going to grab her on the pussy,’ then okay, we’re done. The election is over,” Stewart said. “This is insane. As a writer, honestly, the first woman president, and she’s taken down by Bush and Weiner. Like, that’s just bad writing.”

Of course, before the set was over, Stewart reminded the crowd that the man who could be the next president is the same guy who once went to war with Stewart for mocking Celebrity Apprentice and calling him “F*ckface Von Clownstick.”
