Kellyanne Conway’s Husband Fact-Checks Ari Fleischer on Claims of Mueller Probe Bias
Kellyanne Conway‘s husband George defended the Mueller probe against an accusation of bias from former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer.
George Conway has occasionally tweeted out things at odds with the administration his wife works for, and when the White House counselor was asked about it a few weeks ago, she made it clear she did not appreciate the question.
Regardless, after Fleischer claimed today Mueller’s hirings “create the appearance of bias,” Conway responded that they actually don’t:
I trust Mueller to pursue the truth, but his hirings create the appearance of bias:
82% of his lawyers are Ds. 71% of them have contributed money to D candidates/causes.
Mueller’s lawyers donated $80,257. Ds got 77,507 (97%) while Rs got $2,750 (3%). https://t.co/w8OF570wGv

Nope. His hirings show that he hired lawyers. And lawyers overwhelmingly tend, especially in the elite ranks, to be liberal Democrats. https://t.co/Oh8Ys1ynQO
