Rapper and newly-minted Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar headlined the last day of the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, and gave a couple of lucky fans the opportunity to rap his 2012 track m.A.A.d city with him.
In the video above, you can see one of those fans, a young white woman who identified herself as Delaney, rapping the lyrics to Lamar’s song exactly as written — which included several uses of the N-word.
As the crowd booed her for not skipping over the word, Lamar stopped the track and said to her: “You gotta bleep one single word.”
She replied: “Oh I’m sorry, did I do it?” and then begged for a do-over.
Lamar gave her another chance to rap the song, but she fumbled over the lyrics and was ultimately booed offstage.
