Since actress Ashley Judd put the kibosh on a run for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell‘s seat, Kentucky Secretary of State and senatorial candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes has stepped into the breach to suffer the weirdness that is Republican campaigning in Kentucky. The Kentucky Federation of College Republicans went the McConnell campaign’s weird-ass attack ads and Harlem Shake videos one better by posting what has to be the most chilling oppo tracking video ever.
The group released a video attacking Lundergan Grimes as some kind of uppity elitest, according to their press release:
Apparently Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s Secretary of State who is less than half way through her first term in her first public office, thinks she’s so important that she needs to ride around town in the back seat of a black suburban…driven by personal chauffeur, her husband.
That’s right, she got picked up at the airport by her husband. That bitch!
Wonkette and Raw Story each pointed out that the “gotcha” attack on Grimes is about as silly as it gets, but for my money, it’s the “ch-ch-ch-ch-ah-ah-ah-ah” Friday the 13th cinematography that stands out here:
If I may humbly offer, this gives me a great idea for a McConnell campaign slogan:
Mitch McConnell: Kentucky Puts The Lotion On Its Skin. It Does This Whenever It’s Asked.
Does that fit on a bumper sticker?
