Larry Wilmore Addresses His State of the Union Doppelganger

Screen Shot 2016-01-14 at 6.47.33 AMNightly Show host Larry Wilmore opened his show Wednesday night by addressing an issue that he claims dominated his Twitter timeline the night of the State of the Union address. Many people took to social media to ask the comedian:

So how did you score those sweet, sweet tickets behind First Lady Michelle Obama at the SOTU?

Wilmore however was not at the House Chamber on Tuesday, but video playback revealed who was: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. “That wasn’t me you guys!” Wilmore exclaimed. “Guys, come on — not all tallish, incredibly handsome brown guys with extremely short hair and glasses … holy crap, maybe that was me,” he decided.

“Wait, does this mean I’m the CEO of Microsoft?” he joked. The Nightly Show revealed some of the fan-submitted Tweets that indicated Wilmore was an active participant at President Barack Obama‘s final State of the Union address:

Even The Atlantic‘s David A. Graham got in on the action:
