Libertarians are not big fans of the War on Drugs. Their candidate for president, Gary Johnson, is right there with them calling for an end to the War, but he knows that in order to climb the ranks high enough to really do battle, he has to appeal to those who might not be thinking of voting him in.
Johnson was on MSNBC today to explain that though he has eaten edibles and blown a little smoke in his time, he wouldn’t do it while in office. We’ve heard that before, but to prove that, he now claims he hasn’t smoked in seven weeks.
He was quick to point out that he doesn’t judge anyone who smokes and also believes that for some people, smoking and holding the nation’s highest office wouldn’t have to be mutually exclusive.
In the event he doesn’t become POTUS and he reacquaints himself with the chronic, this little tolerance break of his will surely be a reward in itself.
