Limbaugh On Romney’s ‘Test-Driving’ Birth Certificate Line: ‘Right On, Right On, Right On’

Rush Limbaugh chimed in on today’s installment of campaign trail outrage: Mitt Romney saying, during a speech in Michigan today, “No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate.” What Romney did there, Limbaugh said, was “test drive” the line.

Declaring “right on, right on, right on,” Limbaugh theorized about what Romney’s remark meant for future speeches. “I’m convinced,” he said, that Romney’s “test-driving something. I think this line is a test drive.”

Romney’s comment was:

I love being home in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born. No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.

Limbaugh then shared a few tweets — one about the crowd liking Romney’s joke, and another about Paul Ryan’s recent remark that took a a

jab at President Barack Obama‘s 2008 line about frustrated voters who cling to their guns and religion.

The “Obama-bashing at the Republican convention is going to be delicious,” he added. “It’s going to be five-star-restaurant type stuff.” Telling his listeners they’re going to “love it,” Limbaugh quipped, “And I’ll bet you what’s happening right now is the networks are trying to figure out how they can avoid airing any of it.”

A lot of viewers, he said, are going to hear Obama-bashing for the first time — because others, like late-night talk show hosts, don’t criticize the president. “And I think people are going to love it,” he said.
