Limbaugh Praises Cruz, Says Compromise Is Just ‘Caving In to the Democrats’

During his big post-shutdown speech, President Obama offered this advice to the GOP on how to do better next time: “Win an election.” Rush Limbaugh shot back on Friday that they did, that Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and the Republicans in control of the House were all elected and their constituents are happy that they were doing precisely what they were elected to do in the first place.

Limbaugh brought up a clip of Republican congressman Michael Grimm saying on CNN that the GOP can’t keep doing this or electing more Ted Cruzes if they want to be the big party. But Limbaugh read between the lines and said what Grimm really means is, “You gotta come in and kiss the moderates’ ass.”

He surmised Republicans are only angry at Cruz because he didn’t tell them his plan ahead of time. Limbaugh also played a clip of Grimm talking about compromise and explained what the real game is here.

“What does that mean, ‘working with others to come to a solution’? That means caving in to the Democrats, in real life.”
