We’ve told you before that Ramsey Orta, the man who filmed the death of Eric Garner at the hands of police, was arrested and later indicted on weapons charges. He and his family maintained that he was being targeted by the police for his involvement in the publicity that surrounded Garner’s death.
“I’m pretty much tired of fighting,” he told the New York Daily News. Today, he plans to plead guilty to the drugs and weapons charges. He is prepared to go upstate to serve the time he is given.
He was accompanied to the courthouse by Copwatch member Kevin Moore, who filmed the death of Freddie Gray.
