Well, today one of the Democrats running for president called out the DNC for limiting the number of debates.
Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said today, “The head of the DNC seems to be taking it upon themselves to limit the number of debates that are held this year, and I think it’s a real mistake.”
He railed against the “small cabal” limiting the debates and insisted, “We run our country. Not Wall Street. Not big money. Not old relationships. This is our country.”
O’Malley claimed that this would be a record for “fewest number of debates ever held in a presidential year” and took to Twitter to really hammer home the
A DNC spokeswoman had this to say in response:
“We’re thrilled to hear that Governor O’Malley is eager to participate in our debates. We believe that six debates will give plenty of opportunity for the candidates to be seen side-by-side. I’m sure there will be lots of other forums for the candidates to make their case to voters, and that they will make the most out of every opportunity.”
