Mass. Man Faces Charges After Police Notice ‘Put Wings on Pigs’ Post

A Massachusetts man is facing criminal charges after Chicopee police found a Facebook status he posted reading “put wings on pigs.” That exact phrase was used by the man who fatally shot two NYPD officers last week, so the Chicopee police was obviously worried about this being a threat.

Charles DiRosa posted that on Facebook recently, and the Chicopee PD said on Facebook after being alerted to the post that they “took this threat very seriously.”

Officer Michael Wilk said detectives spoke with DiRosa and it initially seemed like he was apologetic, but then soon after he was reportedly on the phone shouting about threats. DiRosa will be appearing in court to see if there’s probable cause to file a criminal complaint against him.
