On The Ed Show, Ed Schultz went after conservatives piling on Obamacare, including Mediaite’s own Noah Rothman, and both Rothman and Sean Hannity were mocked up in a graphic with dog collars. Rothman reacted to the targeting on Hugh Hewitt‘s show, finding it far more amusing than insulting.
Rothman said he was “flattered,” and Hewitt added, “I’ve been amused by Ed for years.” He recalled how Schultz used to be a conservative talk show host and suggested Schultz may just be “totally fake” when he goes on the air.
Rothman admitted, “I do tend to live-tweet his show, and it tends towards the snarky” because Schultz’s show tends to be “easy to lampoon.” Hewitt was just amazed that Rothman watches Schultz’s show in the first place when there are far smarter people on MSNBC to watch.
Rothman also had some choice words for President Obama, saying there’s a “pure mendacity” from the White House fueling the “pride” making them look past all the issues plaguing Obamacare in just the first month.
