Mika Brzezinski Apologizes for Comments Criticizing Mark Halperin’s Accusers

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski apologized in a statement earlier tonight over comments she made about Mark Halperin‘s accusers.

In talking about the #MeToo movement this morning, Joe Scarborough and Brzezinski said there are clear differences in a lot of these cases, with Brzezinski pointing to men willing to “face the music.”

“Mark Halperin is more than willing to meet with his accusers and apologize with them face-to-face,” she said. “I’ve actually tried to offer him to them. They don’t want to talk to him.”

Brzezinski was roundly criticized for those remarks, including from the women who have shared their stories about Halperin’s sexual misconduct:

But tonight she put out a statement, obtained by CNN, apologizing, following that statement from those 10 women:
