Rush Limbaugh today reacted to Ted Cruz‘s Donald Trump endorsement by saying he really, really mishandled this whole thing.
He praised Cruz as a “trustworthy” conservative, but said, “I think it was a miscalculation to think he could go to the convention and stand on principle… and not endorse.”
As far as Limbaugh is concerned, if Cruz was really going to take that big stand at the convention only to go back on it later, then the entire spectacle and all the abuse he got afterwards was a complete waste of time.
He called it a “miscalculation” while still warning people moping about the end of the last principled conservative that “it’s not that dire.”
