MSNBC Guests Shred Trump For Attacking McConnell: ‘Most Gobsmackingly Stupid Thing’ He’s Done

President Donald Trump took to Twitter Wednesday to attack Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over the Senate’s failure to pass an Obamacare repeal.

“Why not done?” Trump wrote.

Suffice it to say, the panel on Deadline: White House did not think this was a politically wise maneuver.

Sara Fagen, who served as a chief strategist to President George W. Bush’s reelection campaign in 2004, compared Trump’s McConnell attack unfavorably to the President’s other headline-making comment of the past two days.

“This is dumber than going out and saying that we’re gonna use fire and fury in North Korea, in my mind,” Taylor said. She added, “If the Trump White House thinks that life is difficult now in these investigations, just wait till Democrats are in charge.”

Michael Steel — a former spokesman to House Speaker John Boehner — absolutely slammed Trump for his attack on the Senate Majority Leader.

“Attacking Mitch McConnell is the most gobsmackingly stupid thing the president has done yet,” Steel said. “And that’s saying quite a bit.”
