‘Nepotism Run Wild!’ Chris Matthews Rips Kushner After News He’s Being Looked at in Russia Probe
Following two major new reports from the Washington Post and NBC News which said that Jared Kushner is currently being looked at by the FBI in the Russia investigation, Chris Matthews absolutely teed off on the son-in-law of President Donald Trump and questioned his role in the White House.
In a fiery series of comments on Hardball Thursday, Matthews ripped Trump for appointing Kushner in the first place.
“I think it was a bad idea to let him become an assistant to the President,” Matthews said. “I think it’s nepotism run wild.”
The Hardball host added that Kushner’s constant public presence was ominous.
This is follow the money time. I’m watching this guy. This son-in-law. He’s a business guy. We know what he’s doing. He’s making a lot of money. He married into a lot of money…He’s in bed with that family. And the President troops him around with him.
What’s he gotta see the Pope for?! What’s he standing behind Trump for at the Pope’s?! Why’s he there?
It’s a statement to the world: “If you wanna deal with me, deal with him.”
